Elias founded Bensons Property Group in 1994 and is responsible for the company’s strategic leadership. With a guiding principle that success is not only a result of doing things right, but of also doing the right thing. He began the company with this simple philosophy and set of values which has never waivered – excellence, integrity, a complete focus on quality, leadership by example and a commitment to creating the best possible developments throughout the local community.
Managing Director / CEO
Rick has over 30 years experience in financing, development and asset management of both residential and commercial property. He was previously CEO of Centuria Capital, a listed funds management and financial services group. Prior to this, he was responsible for the property development and asset management departments at Coles Myer in major shopping centres and industrial warehouses.
Rick is responsible for driving the overall daily operations of Bensons, including marketing, government relations, funds management and the successful delivery of all projects.
Executive Deputy Chairman
Michael has over 40 years experience in property related businesses, including senior banking, property finance, real estate and management roles. As Deputy Chairman, Michael is particularly responsible for maintaining relationships with lenders and ensuring that the required levels of funding are obtained for each project.
Michael has been with Bensons for 11 years and has seen the company grow from developing projects of less than 60 apartments to projects exceeding 300 hundred apartments.
Director of Developments
Harry has over 35 years experience in the design and delivery of complex projects in all stages of feasibility, planning, design, construction, docu- mentation and contract administration. His exper- tise stems from qualifications both in civil engi- neering and architecture.
Finance and Taxation Manager
Greg is a CPA and Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia, with over 30 years experience in accounting, finance and taxation, gained both within the accounting profession and commerce environments. Greg joined Bensons in 2006. Now the Finance Director, Greg is responsible for financial strategy, company secretarial, taxation, and internal & external reporting.
Samantha is General Counsel for Bensons Property Group. Prior to joining the family business in 2014, Samantha worked at Melbourne’s prestigious legal firm Arnold Bloch Leibler where she gained expertise in commercial litigation and competition law.
Chief Financial Officer
Gary is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia with over 25 years of experience in residential and commercial property development, property management and infrastructure delivery. Gary joined Bensons in September 2015 as CFO and his responsibilities include financial management, treasury management, accounting, taxation and risk management. Gary holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from the University of Melbourne and commenced his career at Arthur Andersen providing audit, corporate finance and business advisory services to a diverse range of property, construction and mining clients before accepting the roles as CFO for the Docklands Authority and the Ubertas Group.
